Student Record Privacy

All students’ information is protected by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Federal regulations prohibit UC Davis from releasing student information (records) to third parties (including parents, spouses or relatives) without written consent from the student.

To grant access to others to your student account you must set them up as an Authorized User on MyBill. You will need an email address for the Authorized User to get access. Authorized User provides you and your parents an easy way to share and discuss information with us, view some of your UC Davis financial information, and conduct business online, in person, by email and over the phone with the Student Accounting Office. With Authorized User, you can choose not only who can view your information, but just how much they can access.

You can authorize users to view all or selected data within MyBill. Please note that except for making a payment, Authorized Users will NOT be allowed to update your records. Authorized Users would not be able to view your student’s class schedule or grades. Additional authorization might be needed at the Office of the University Registrar and/or the Financial Aid Office.

This page provides historical information on the previous billing system, MyBill. Refer to the Aggie Bill page for information on the current system, implemented in May 2026.

MyBill was part of the prevkous Student Account Suite that issued paperless statements. It had many advantages and unique features including:

View and print previous statements (up to one year).
Online payments post immediately to Banner, the software used for the UC Davis Student Information System.
Authorize others (parents, etc.) to view and pay their bill.
Set up automatic monthly payments, up to a maximum amount specified by the payer.
All major credit cards accepted (transaction fees apply).
Convera wire payments.
Schedule future payments.
Enroll in Deferred Payment Plan (DPP).
Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The student bill contains more information than the amount currently due to the university. Look at the corresponding number to understand the information contained on the student bill.

Deferred Payment Plan (DPP)

The UC Davis Deferred Payment Plan (DPP) allows for eligible tuition and fees to be paid in monthly installments due by the 15th of each month.
